Hi. .there was, I had heard, an « old reliable » of a cruising guide for Chile and am curious, is that correct ? And did you use such a guide ? I was in-touch with the OCC P.O. ifor Puerto Montt and I think learned about that guide, from him. But gee.. I did not know one could go « inside » for so much on the route from Ushuaia to Puerto Montt. I had looked at a trip along that coast and bringing a vessel from N to S or down the coast from Panama and that was only a piece of the trip as the vessel was lying Boston, MA ! My interest in Chile, nonetheless, was very piqued because of that investigation but also for an Anthony Bourdain TV show about the area. HAVE FUN..
There is indeed an excellent guide on the Chilean Patagonian coast. It is by an Italian couple, but in English.
The Patagonian coast on the Pacific and the Atlantic are difficult to sail.
